The Growing Faith

Psalm 20:7 – Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (ESV)

Nahum 1:7 – The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. (ESV)

Habakkuk 3:17-19 – Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. God, the LORD, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places. (ESV)

Romans 8:28 and Revelation 21:5 – And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose. And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” (ESV)

2 Corinthians 4:8,9,16 – We are afflicted in every way, but are not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed; So we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. (ESV)

Hebrews 12:12,13 – Therefore lift up your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight your paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. (ESV)

Psalm 46  God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
