On September 16, 2009 my father, Don Coldwell, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
This blog was created to share the journey of fighting this cancer as seen through the eyes of his family. His family includes a wife Elizabeth Coldwell of 41 years. A daughter Deanne Robertson and her husband Jonathan who have 4 children and are currently living in Hong Kong. A son Don Jr. and his wife Laurie who have 3 children and live in Maine. A mother Joyce in Maine, as well as extended family both in the area and around the country.
We will share details about how treatment is going as well as specific ways you can help and pray. Please check back often or subscribe via RSS or reader. We don’t promise to update ever day or even every week, however, we will update as needed.

Dear Don & Betty, another question to add to my long list to ask the Father when I’m finally home. Not to question HIM, but to try and understand. We pray for an extra measure of grace for both of you as you sit on the frontline and do battle with this cancer. We have passed on this link to our family distribution so many are praying around the world. HE is faithful, and we draw strength from the hope that is in us, that one day we will all be with HIM. Now we pray for healing, for effective use of the chemo, wisdom on the part of those directing Don’s treatment, and for HIS divine intervention. See you Monday.
